Open Question: past life-NESSIE or something else?

Hi.. basically heres my story for a long time I feared the water as a child i was bathed with really icy water in my counrty in south america. as i have grown up iam 20 now i have had weird dreams of me in the jungle close a enourmous water falls or rivers. iam dressed in sorta tarzan clothes but now that i recall better it's real clothes only torn to shreds. iam iam barely alive and looking for someone iam lying on this rectangular rock which looks like a border betwwen two enourmous rivers. being that iam from south america let say it is in south america and nowhere else. ALSO, when i take a bath in the shower as iamdoing that visions of me below water below a icy kinda darkish 97% night i look myself as a fisherman who apparantly had had his boat brken down by something a beast maybe? and iam underwater with a dagger which looks alot like poseidons trident only it is quite normal id say for fishing purposes so no iam not a god i think.. anyways very much human...and...... i look this gigantic beast like giraffe due to its long neck and enourmous body like that of a whale.and it's EYES SHINING WHITE STARING AT ME the creature looks an awful lot like nessie he lockness monster from scotland. due to it's sorta dinasaur appereance you know that long neck big body one only with fins and not legs. face like that of a horse kinda.anyways weird part is iam not sacred at first but then i hear it roar and bif jaws and teeth and look behinh me and there are several of them around me that's when my heart races like that of the spped of light nowing death is here...and then i wake up or gt back to reality since iam in the shower.i sually shower with eyes open casue the moment i close them i look it looking at me.(return to vision). i did some research and apparently there was or there is a myth or giant creatures snake looking called maka or akka that exists or existed in south america many stories told by piarates and people in general. freaky I know.

Open Question: How to rid white spot from my Mbu puffer & cardinals?

Hi every, sorry to bother you every but my pride & joy ( my Mbu puffer ) has arrive down with a bout of the old nasty white spot. Now my parameters are :- Amm - 0 Nitrite - 0 Nitrates - 25ppm Filtration is a Eheim prof II thermofilter He currently lives in a well cycled and weekly maintained 77 g tank. I have owned him/her for just 3 weeks and noticed the whitespot on monday, so i added my usual Esha 2000 & Esha leave in half doses ( as he is a scaleless fish i was a unsure how he would react to a full dose) I did remove the carbon from my filter prior to treating the tank. I did the treatment for the normal 3 days......but he still has it. He is still eating ok and to my suprise he hand feeds ( well with a pair of tweezers!!) and is such a joy to watch. But now the darned whitespot has spread to my cardinals. So, my question is how on earth can i rid him & the cardinals of the Ich? Do you think he would be able to tolerate the 'normal' dose? I also have 3 clown loaches in there so i am aware to to go over the top with treatment as they are scaleless too. I have neons, cardinals, betta's (m & f) and 4 plecs ( which are every tiny, gold nuggets and peppermint plecs) he hasn't (touch wood) even bothered them, he comes to the front of the tank when he/she is hungry and swims until he is stuffed. He does this amazing thing when he blows into the substrate to hunt for food. He has even gotten my snail problem sorted as i have 5 tanks. The malaysian trumpet snail population is definately on the down!! I will persevere with the treatment. I will leave it a couple of days before starting the 3 day course again. It drives me nuts though as he cost me a lot and i would hate it if anything happened to him. I will be getting a larger tank for him when he reaches 6", but that will take some sweet talking to my husband as i have already got 5 in the home!!!! lol

So I have a 10 gallon tank. 2 male guppies and 3 dalmatian mollies. I want to do a live plant setup without buying a special light. Can I do that? 1. Also will the guppies/mollies breed? 2. My fish just died and I thought I had killed it for some reason but when my dad pulled it out of its tank he told me that the fish had some nice of disease. I asked why and he said there were black spots on his belly. I couldn't look it clearly cause I didn't want to look the fish but my brother kept telling me that it's mercury. I don't believe him because it only comes from fish in the sea and ones you eat. What are the black spots?

Open Question: Drawing Identification Needed?

I'm looking for a drawing that was done a very long time ago. It was done by an artist who was also an drawing teacher, to show his students why perspective was so important he drew a drawing that looked right to the naked eye but if you were to look properly none of it is realistic, the perspectives were completely wrong. every I remember was there was a river and a mountain up back and the guy fishing at the back would have his line at the front. I just asked a question, but began to receive a little confused! please answer my new question. was origonally going to receive Guppies, but the pet store people said there too difficult to look after and will die. Although my friends have had them before with no problems im alittle confused people at the pet store sold me my new tank, and told my to arrive back in a week to by some angel fish i have been told otherwise, because they grow to big as my fish tank is 6 gallon, (21 litres). its taller, not wide and has river washed pebbles in the bottom that i bought and thoroughly washed out pet store said that guppies tend to die easily, but my friends has had them before with no worries. ok so i have got a heater, pebbles, water that has been in there for a week or so, (conditioned) What do you recommend will work best and what fish? thanks everyone who answered my old question- please answer this one! you were very helpful!!!

Open Question: What do I do with my molly fish?

I'm in a bit of a dilemma. Right now, i have 4 molly fish in a 10-gallon tank. I want to receive a 55-gallon community tank with 2-3 discus cichlids OR 2 angelfish, 6 cory cats, and several platies. However, I can't keep them in the same tank, since molly fish really prefer difficult water, and cory cats and cichlids soft water. How can I sell them? My mom won't let me return them , and I don't want to just toss them away. 1.) Do local pet stores buy fish? 2.) Do local pet stores buy used tanks? 3.) Which combo is better: 2 discus, 6 cory's, and 3 platies? or 2 angels, 6 cory's, and 3 platies?

Open Question: Using Morton Water Softening Salt to lower pH & Hardness?

I have a big problem in my town with the quality of our tap water. It has a high pH. of at least 8.4. My test kits cease at 8. It also has a hardness & Alkalinity of at least 300 ppm GH.& KH. I never have problems with Nitrate / Nitrite / Ammonia levels. I was curious if anyone has used The big Yellow bag to soften the water and lower the ph. I know I could use bottled water but that gets to heavy to bring about 10 of them up stairs every time I have to change my tanks, I have 3 tanks. every my fish do ok in the water they are in currently but I want to give them better water quality so they can live longer and be glad. What I was thinking was to pour the salt in the 20 gallon pail and pour water in and add any other conditioners I need to add then test it. When the levels are lower then I would stick my submersible pump in and suck it out to put it into the tank after the normal water change each week. What are your opinions about that idea? I have had some water sitting in a clean pail for a week (!) and i brought my tank and pebbles, however the water in my pail only filled up about 2/3 of the tank. Then i filled up the tank the relax of the way with some normal water and added a little more conditioner. Has anyone not bothered leaving for a week, or do you think it will be fine now to put my angel fish in???? ALSO: (:P) I brought pebbles for my tank, not gravel, pebbles. Does this matter? they are the smooth type that you find in rivers thanks:) Also my tank in less than 6 gallons I look. Open Question: My "outside" goldfish are dying! what is going on?

ok im from florida, and the temp. has dropped pretty drastically over the last 2-3 weeks. well we have quite a big pond in our back yard that was full of gorgeous healthy goldfish...over 300 of them infact. it was a self-sustaining ecosystem and every we needed to do was toss some fish food in once or so a day. well recently the temp. has dropped to close freezing at night, and every of the sudden every of my fish start dying! hundreds of cute little baby fish littered the surface, then every of the beautiful huge adults started to belly up. it every happened in a matter of two days! now a day or so before this every started to happen i threw the hose in the pond as i always do to give them some fresh water...the next morning the water was so cloudy it was almost white. ive always known my goldfish to be pretty hardy...infact the adult ones had to be picked up with 2 hands because they were so big and have been alive for nearly 7 years...so what could have been in the water that would have killed them so quickly?? dad thinks its the water that did it...i think it may have been the sudden drop in temp. (even though we havent had any real problem with them when it comes to temp. for quite a few years now). every that aside, only three survived. the two largest ones (luckily a male and a female) and one that is about the size of a typical "prize" goldfish at the fair...so id say hes still a baby (yes its a he). well ive brought them inside and filled a big tub with water (room temp.) treated it, and put an airating pump in it. any other tips on what i can do? the one larger male i basically had to resesitate back to life...hes still like right on the verge of death (hes actually survived being tossed back in the pond twice because he had stopped breathing and we assumed he was dead...pretty tough little guy huh?) i want them to start reproducing again soon...and both the males and the female have the signs that are only supposed to appear when they are ready to spawn...so how long do you think it will be if i keep them in a suitable environment? going from 300 to 3 is so unhappy!! i want my pond to be teaming with life again as soon as possible.

Open Question: What is happening with my 2 guppy fish?

Hi! So i have 4 fish....every tropical fish in a fish tank. 2 of them are guppys...i was told at the store they are both males, but at this point i don't know anymore. there is a blue and a yellow one....the yellow guppy has a red sore i guess below her/his belly and the blue fish keeps chasing the yellow fish around and it looks like the blue fish is trying to bite the yellow one.... I took the (hurt/sick/ i don't know what) yellow fish out and put him/her in their possess bowl with water from the tank and she seemed a little slow but the water was probably a little colder than the tank because there was no heater in the bowl. other than that the yellow fish was totally fine! I left the yellow fish in the bowl by itself for 5 days and just now put yellow fish back into the tank and it still has a red thing poking out the belly and the blue fish again is pestering it and it looks like the blue one is trying to bite.... I don't understand please help!!! I adore my fishes!! :)

Open Question: Zinc and Fish oil to help cure acne?

I started about a week ago using fish oil (1200mg) and zinc (50mg) supplement pills to help with my acne in addition to regular washing and lotion/cremes. I havent seen every that much improvement in the acne i had when i started but i havent gotten many new pimples. i also had a little bit of acne on my chest and shoulders which seems to have gone away more noticeably then what is on my face. I guess im just looking for tips, suggestions, or information on what could be goin on? also if this method will actually receive rid of the acne i have that isnt going away on face. which isnt be affected by the topical products(little if at every).

i currently have 1 clown and 4 more fish. i also have some corals and a lot of live rock. i want to receive a gobby and maybe a yellow tang what do you guys think?

Open Question: Bird in a cage..........................…?

I am a bird in a cage, searching for freedom from the shackles of pain. I want to break free form this prison, nothing is gonna arrive my way, I want to spread my wings & fly away. I want to breathe fresh air carrying first drops of monsoon rain. I want to swerve, twirl & dance in the sky, i want to fly very high, i want to leave my mark in this limitless sky. I want to play with trees, chase the sun, sing with stars, circle the moon and make the whole world swoon. I want to snooze with snow, look the beautiful Lilllies grow, I want to kiss the sea & talk with fish, I want to soar very high, so that nobody can imprison me agian, that's my only wish. Cruel world why have you imprisoned me, is every that i want to know, the stars, the sun the moon they every are waiting for me please let me go. every i can say is that we every are like birds in a cage, imprisoned in the cage of imaginary fears, worries, doubts, limitations which cease us from realising our full potential we every have a wish like a bird locked up in a cage to free ourselves from these limitations and just like a bird soar very high in the sky, and realise our true potential. did you like this or not please leave your comments. someone deleted my question so i am posting this again.

Open Question: Second time asking.....?

I asked a question two days ago about a project I found online to make fake rocks for an aquarium. I only go two responses, and I don't know if either of the answers was right. The question is about what type of epoxy to use, because the directions don't say anything other than epoxy. I think the first person who answered is talking about the stuff that's difficult and is part green and part white and you mix it like clay. But the project directions at one point say to paint the epoxy on in a thin coat, so I doubt that was the nice of epoxy that was meant. But maybe I'm wrong here. I didn't understand anything in the second answer at every. Does anybody have any idea what nice of epoxy should be used for this? Open Question: is this how you clean a fish tank?

Is this how you would clean gravel and do a water change in fish tank? 1) Use the gravel vacuum to clean every waste products. 2) receive rid of the dirty water that was sucked up and replace it with clean water. 3) Use tap water and put dechlorinator in it and put it right away in the tank. (This is my question, can u just put dechlorinator in the water and just put it right away into the tank or do i have to make sure its at room temperature similar to the temperature in the tank) Also, do i have to clean the gravel and do the water change every week? How do i know the percentage of water i am replacing when cleaning the tank? Like when the gravel vacuum is sucking up the water, how many inches of water should be removed? I dont want to accidentally take out too much water. I would appreciate it if someone can answer my questions! Thanks for the answers so far. I actually dont even have a fish tank yet. Im doing every the research i can from the nitrogen cycle to beyond that lol

Open Question: How can I be "naturally beautiful" ?

I don't wear makeup, and I try to drink alot of water daily. I also take vitamins daily (a multi, fish oil, flaxseed oil, B vitamin, iron, biotin) I think I'm really plain looking.. Is there a way I can improve my appearence without the use of makeup? Also, I like the natural look. I use heat styling on my hair, so any hair suggestions are welcome, too. Thanks(:
